Biography: Mr. Levin is a fourth-generation attorney. He graduated from law school with honors and was a member of the law review. He started his career in 1983 as law clerk to the Hon. Richard P. Gilbert, Chief Judge of the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. Mr. Levin thereafter practiced in the private sector in Baltimore, Maryland, concentrating in the areas of commercial disputes and insurance defense cases involving product liability, medical malpractice and general liability.
In 1989, Mr. Levin joined the Baltimore City Office of Law, where he litigated numerous trials and appeals of complex civil cases, particularly in the areas of constitutional law and employment discrimination. He achieved a very successful record for winning published appellate decisions. He also served for a period of time as Chief Legal Advisor to Baltimore's 3,000 member Police Department.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Levin was a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has given lectures to the Stanford University Center for Research in Disease Prevention and the International Municipal Lawyers Association on the constitutionality of government restrictions on tobacco and alcohol advertisements.
In 1998, Mr. Levin and his wife moved to Edwards, Colorado. Upon relocating, Mr. Levin was employed as the Town Attorney for the Town of Avon, Colorado. As Town Attorney for a vibrant and growing mountain - resort community, Mr. Levin represented Avon in a wide range of practice areas, including all aspects of the real estate development process, employment matters, contracts, liquor license review, as well as serving as the Town Prosecutor.
In 2002 Mr. Levin established his private practice in the Vail Valley, with an office in Edwards, Colorado. Since that time he has represented individuals and businesses in a variety of legal matters, concentrating on litigation.
